I think it's pure genius.
OK it's a cover tune so nothing original there, but the way I see it she could have covered anything or more so something more in her style or released new original material...
But no, she has the genius to take something like this & make it not only her own (in an artistic fashion) but pull it off in such a way to raise debate of both the critics of her work & that of the Black Eyed Peas.
I can't say I like her 'normal' output, nothing I'd listen to out of choice when alone... however, this tune has made it into my playlist.
