'Russell to star in Adam Ant film'
Author: IRiSHMaFIA :: Posted: Wed Sep 20, 2006 4:48 pm

Russell Brand has been hotly-tipped to play Adam Ant in a new movie about the singer's life.

Film bosses are said to be convinced the self-styled "sexual terrorist" would be ideal as the British pop icon.

The possible flick would be based on Ant's autobiography, Stand And Deliver.

It would document the star's troubled life, which includes a lengthy battle with manic depression.

"Russell would be perfect. There is an obvious physical comparison between the two," a source told the Daily Star.

"But there's more too, they both had a tough childhood and shared some similar issues in their lives."

It could work out well for Russell as he is thought to be eyeing up a movie career.

He is known for shows such as 1 Leicester Square and Big Brother's Big Mouth.

I think we have the new croc hunter already. She is adorable and brave... can you imagine Bindi when she is a teenager? I pity any boy who tries to ask her out on a date!

I used to watch Spooks a couple of years back. It's brilliant. It got a place on the most shocking TV moments. When someone put someone elses head in a fryer..nice.

It always gets me in soaps - people up and leave to go and live in America....with no visa!! Took me bloody ages and I was married to an American :grr:

It is a nightmare really. Of course, my husband came over here (after we were married in the UK) and just stayed. We had to fill out another form (and pay $300) so he could stay. He never got a visa. It took a year for us to get his work permit. Somedays I miss him being a househusband Surprised But the paycheck he brings home is much nicer.

Ricky Gervais to open an animal sanctuary

Ricky's Flanimal magic

RICKY Gervais plans to open an animal sanctuary ? after admitting he feels guilty over his immense wealth. The 45-year-old comic has made millions from telly hits The Office and Extras. And he admitted: ?I want to open a sanctuary ? only little furry creatures though, not ones that can take your hand off.?

To mark his ambition, we have created a mock-up picture showing how a safari suit-clad Ricky might look in his sanctuary ? complete with a caged adult Mernimbler. Ricky said: ?One day I'd love to live and work in a sanctuary. Nature and animals in particular were my first love. I can't think of anything better than waking up to sprawling countryside filled with wildlife. I?ve never understood how anyone could be cruel to an animal. When a bullfighter gets gored to death, I cheer.?

For now, Ricky will have to make do with the sprawling new home in Hampstead, North West London, he is about to move into with his long-time love, TV producer Jane Fallon. The house has its own pool, and Ricky confessed about his riches: ?I do...
