91yr old completes law degree

I don't know if it's the same in the UK but it used to be that here you could go to university for free after the age of 65. Don't know if they still do that, but I think a lot of people that age are retired and have more time to do these things.

There's a ton of things I'd love to learn but don't really have the time for. I plan to take advantage of this if it still exists when I'm 65. thumbs

Matt Lucas' Pantomime Wedding
Author: faceless :: Posted: Tue Oct 10, 2006 12:27 pm

MATT LUCAS 'WEDDING' TO HAVE PANTO THEME
Eva Simpson & Caroline Hedley

WE know how much Little Britain's Matt Lucas likes dressing up... but his wedding day will make even their most outrageous characters like Emily and Florence look positively dowdy. The comic genius and his boyfriend Kevin McGee are planning a Christmas panto-style extravaganza for their civil partnership ceremony this December. They plan to walk down the aisle in fancy dress in a sumptuous, no-expense spared ceremony celebrating the "best of British pantomime".

Oh no, they're not? Oh yes, they are! Although the final costumes have yet to be decided they are said to be looking at a number of different outfits - including Captain Hook, Mother Goose and Aladdin. And they won't be alone in dressing up for the big day. Guests - including Little Britain's David Walliams, Sir Elton John, Pet Shop Boy Neil Tennant, actor Anthony Head and comic Vic Reeves - are also expected to make the effort.

A source told us: "It's a Christmas wedding and Matt and Kevin thought it would be hysterical to have a Christmas panto theme...

Navigation system directs driver into sand pile
Author: janbo1960 :: Posted: Mon Oct 09, 2006 9:40 pm
An 80-year-old German motorist obediently following his navigation system has ignored a motorway "closed for construction" sign and crashed his Mercedes into a pile of sand further down the road.

"The driver was following the orders from his navigation system and even though there was a sufficient number of warnings and barricades, he continued his journey into the construction site," a police spokeswoman said.

"His trip finally ended when he wound up crashing into a pile of sand."

The driver and his wife escaped uninjured from the collision, which occurred on a motorway near Hamburg.

I wonder if he has his Law Degree???
