Terrible and disgusting behavior indeed. It's a shame.

I think there's more to this story than is being told.

There might be, but I've been to Bloomfield quite often and it's not the nicest of areas and you would want to be careful down there. I wouldn't be shocked if she was attacked in this fashion.

EDIT: This also isn't the first problem we have had in Pittsburgh involving violence or vandals in regards to the election. This is just the worst reported.

But how much of it could be seen as a response to the hate that Republicans have been pouring out?

Maybe you do need a new revolution over there...

If his reaction to her having a bumper sticker is to carve on her face, that's a bit much. Regardless of the hate being spread that's not a reaction to have. Not to mention he was robbing her at an ATM, so I doubt he was of good character to begin with.

Revolution? No. Change? Yes.

In looking at this story again - I say it's just bullshit.

The B is backwards and the bruises (if they're real, which is questionable as there's no bloodshooting in her eye) look older than the mark itself, which doesn't even break the skin!

I thought the same as well when I saw her face closer I saw that. It is bullshit and a shame. But it says so much to me, the campaign people are so desperate to have him win that they are pulling stunts like this. I hope she is fined heavily for this.

I see the original story you posted has now been updated to say that she's admitted to faking it. I wonder if that will get as much coverage?

It is the top news story here and on every other commercial break for the evening news.

I think you'll find that she is just a nut with a mental disorder. Let's face it. There are mentally ill people all over this country. To say that the campaign was behind it is just as an insane accusation as saying the "guy who supposedly did it was backed by Obama's campaign". Sane people don't do those sort of things and she clearly has problems. She also looks quite young, so she also has a lot of growing up to do as well.

On a side note: Face, your bullshit radar was on target with this one. I have to admit, I thought it had probably happened, but that it was more of robbery thing than a political thing. That woman just added to the tension that is already edgy without her adding more. Spot on! Are you good at picking horses? lol!

Yeah, it's clear now she's a few burgers short of a barbeque, but I'd guess that her illness made her desperate to try and fit in with the people around her - and she chose quite a way to do it.

Thank Fox the story went global so we could all witness it!

on the fox site before this was known to be fake, they said;
this incident could become a watershed event in the 11 days before the election.

If Ms. Todd’s allegations are proven accurate, some voters may revisit their support for Senator Obama, not because they are racists (with due respect to Rep. John Murtha), but because they suddenly feel they do not know enough about the Democratic nominee.

If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain’s quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting.

is this a big story in america?

The picture of her face that I posted above is from the Fox News frontpage story (check the properties).

It doesn't surprise me that they've withdrawn it though. They are manipulative cunts after all!
