EastEnders' Maggie O'Neill to leave the show?

EastEnders star Maggie O’Neill could be leaving the soap after just a few months. The ex-Shameless star joined the cast in May as Jim Branning's daughter Suzy. But apparently she's not been popular with fellow cast members.

Maggie, 40, has allegedly had bust-ups with Samantha Janus (who plays Ronnie Mitchell) and Rob Kazinsky (Sean Slater). ‘EastEnders is normally a quiet, calm set,’ a source tells the News Of The World. ‘But that has certainly changed recently and the finger has been pointed at Maggie. ‘An extension to her deal looks unlikely.’ Her 6-month contract runs until November.

I don't watch the show that closely, but I can't remember her being in it at all!

I don't think she has been on yet. I don't recognize her...Maybe her episodes air when Jim comes back?

I'm a bit behind, but I think she was really only in it when Phil went to drop off some money from Max and then ended up sorting her out with those guys who were after her. Then Phil took her back to the Vic and slept with her and she took off in the morning.

Yes she was on. She was on it like eefan said, with Phil briefly. She was at the salon where Phil went to take the money. It's the same girl Ben was telling Shirley about the other night.

That's right. I didn't recognize her. She looks a lot softer in that photo than she did on the show.

I almost didn't recognize her either Spurs --- you're right about the photo. Sounds like this will be a fly by night character and not staying for too long.

She's just a female Phil Mitchell. It's hard enough watching the male Phil Mitchell. It would be great if she didn't stay in the Square after all.

I think the same thing Antonia. I wasn't too impressed with the character just because of that. Her character would be far to predictable and that would just be boring. If you had put a bald wig on her she would just be another one of the Mitchell boys!

I'm glad things didn't work out well with her because I didn't really care for her character either, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one.

We haven't even really seen her interact with her two brothers. It would be interesting to see her with Max and Jack and the family dynamic. But she seemed fashioned more to be a Mitchell than a Branning somehow.

It sounds like we all may be getting our wish since she can't play nicely in the sandbox with the other EE'rs.

...probably runs with scissors...
