Is Dawn really THAT stupid? Why would she say something like that to Bianca? I understand that she is frazzled after having to float for the day and not having any money, but come on....isn't some sort of self preservation gene supposed to kick into gear? I am always so shocked at how everyone on the Square who is in such dire straights that they can't feed their family will reject "charity" and value pride over survival. It's a bit much honestly. I'm with you, what about self-preservation? If your kids are hungry, you don't have your own home and you only have loose change that won't get you through an hour, let alone a day, how is that smart?

Sometimes I think so. In the last couple of days she's said and done some stupid stuff. i think she was dillusional when she gushed with pride to Jase that they were moving on up now. Just because he brought home a suitcase of cash? But I did admire her asking Ian if she could clean the house; it showed she is not above doing something like housecleaning to earn cash. Good hustle Dawn. On the other hand she has no idea she's a crap mother.

I have to bring this up: when is someone going to slap Ian? After Dawn finished cleaning Ian gave her 5 pounds. I would have swung him around by his collar and punched him in the face. But that's just me. Dawn is indeed that stupid. She missed the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to slap the ever loving crap out of Ian.

Whoops, and how could I not post this? Jane did a good job of smacking Ian down. I loved it when she hired the more expensive taxi.

I'd have to agree with you antonia --- haven't watched the episode yet, but any "Ian-slapping" gets my vote. 5 quid to clean the house? I'm guessing Lucy's room is worth 10 quid at least! I think it would have been worth a fiver just for the chance to slap Ian!

I'd pay a fiver for that....even with the current exchange rates! Dawn does have gumption, but not alot of brains behind it. She lets her emotions run things and that will always get you in trouble. I don't think they are on the road to happiness either, considering where we are lead to believe Jase is getting his money from!

OMG Twirls, if Jane had hired Charlie and his cab, Charlie might not have gotten bitten by the furry gigantic spider. I do not like spiders so mind you I had gooseflesh every time we saw the spider last night. And didn't we just see it every five minutes? eeuuwww.

I think it's the hairy bodies and legs that get me too. Don't mind 'em if I can catch 'em in a glass and throw them out but if they're any bigger....ooohhh, I just have to run and hide.
