Good for him for standing up for what he believes in, but WTF? I suppose that they don't have tow trucks in Weatherfield? What is he thinking?

I gotta say I'm not with Roy at all on this one. Making such a big deal over bats, well it's just batty. He's a bit wonky in the personality and social department. I've never seen an interview with the actor, I wonder if he's anything like his character. I hope they drop a crane on his car or something. I'm not rooting for Roy on this one.
This page gives some info on how and why they are protected.

I'd have shook his hand and sat down on the roll of roof insulation with him! haha

Yeah....I'm still not with Roy on this one. Probably because I'd have to agree with the whole protection of bats thing in the first place. Yeah it's the law not to touch them, but I guess in my eyes and also Tony's eyes, it's a bit silly to halt this project over bats. Species come and go. New ones are created and then die out. It's the ebb and flow of life. I guess we'll have to agree that we disagree on this one... :-)
Oops, my bad -- didn't realise that the car was parked legally. When I viewed the episode, I just made an assumption. And y'all know that when one assumes, "you make an ass out of you and me (ass + U + me = assUme)."faceless wrote:the car's legally parked though - so they can't tow it, but I've a feeling it might be accidentally crushed to pieces in an 'unfortunate' incident.
