nice one - this is a surprisingly cool show and you really start to get to 'know' the ships and crews before long. I got the dvd extras for one of the series and it showed the amount of work that needs doing just to get the cameras set up and that alone is some effort.

My favourite captain is Sig Hansen - if I needed to put my life in someone's hands to make a few bucks then I'd definitely trust that Weegian over the rest!

I LOVE this show!! I started watching during season 2 and caught up on dvd. If you would have described the premise to me and asked if I would watch, I probably would have said no, but it is so well done and exciting, I can hardly wait for the next week's show. And Face, I am with you, one of my fav Capt's is Sig. I also like Jonathan, he is kinda quirky, but his gut reaction when he saved a deck hand from another boat out of the water, I knew he was for real. The only drawback is that I want to eat crab everytime I watch!!

Also, I like the excitement of checking the traps and seeing if they caught a big haul of fish/crabs or what not. It's like being at a casino and seeing what pops up...lol!

And it make me SO hungry for crab! We have a restaurant called Crabby Bills, which is about a mile from my house. Some nights , I swear I could get down there and back with some juicy crab legs during a commercial break!

When I go to my mom's, I eat pounds and pounds of stone crab claws. They are so delicous and out of this world. The good thing is the fisherman catches the crab, takes one claw, and throws it back in. The crab will grow another claw, and will have one claw to fend for itself and eat. When it grows another claw, it can be plucked again! Yay! We get them fresh every day. Problem is, the season ends May 15, and I won't be in Florida until July. Rats!

Did anyone see last Tuesday's episode? It was really uncomfortable to watch. My stomach hurt and it was actually sort of a relief when it was over. This week promises to be the same unless they say right up front what is wrong with Capt. Phil.

I just got hold of the new official Deadliest Catch game. It looks and sounds pretty much like the show, but with one major difference - there's no editing to the exciting bits!
