Lighter side of Sean

Post by Twirley »

Now, wasn't Sean good to watch in the scene where he was babysitting Tanya's kids, especially where he stole a piece of Abby's pizza. They're showing some depth to his character and I really enjoyed it.

Yeah, I am quite enjoying Sean Lite as well. He has a great smile...his whole face smiles...so to see scenes like that one with the girls was a real treat.

It's nicer to see this side of him, for sure, but for me, it's going to take a little more than this to get me "liking" him.

That's where I am at eefan. I mean, it's obvious he's going to have a softer side. However, I think part of it may be wanting to get into Tanya's good books. I don't trust him at all and don't like him. He's a nasty piece of work. Just look how he treats Jean. It's not her fault she has the issues she does and she tries so hard to be good to him and he constantly kicks her to the side. Somehow I think this "softer" side is more of an act.

Sky - do you think once he's "got" Tanya he'll start to mistreat her...?

I thought he treated Jean badly because he can't bear the guilt of being the cause of his dad's death. I was waiting for some other reason - like she'd abused him or something, but nothing's really come out about why he's so horrible to her.

I hope he's not nasty with Tanya - her girls would suffer.

It wouldn't surprise me if he did start to mistreat her. He likes to get his way and he's mistreated so many other girls he was with before.

As for his treatment of Jean, his guilt over that has to do with his treatment of Stacey. If you remember he said he hit his dad over an argument about Jean. He was already started to treat Jean poorly and his dad was saying there was nothing wrong with Jean and he hit his dad. Sean has had those issues with his mother before his father's death.

I'd say he doesn't like his mum because she shows that genetically he is susceptible to weakness (in his army trained mentality)

:sherlock:

he still loves her though.

I quite liked that pizza scene as well. First time I have ever, ever seen him portray any "real" sense of a genuine smile. "Real"as in human that is. Hope it's the beginning of more good character strength.
