I remember the story from a while back, but I'm sure it wasn't 4 years ago...

anyway, what a disappointing piece of news!

Ah yes, but....

"The conclusions in this paper are not supported by the facts," he said. "The authors have not examined the original fossil, have little and no experience with fossil hominids and depend upon data obtained by others."

We have loads of hobbits around here (with their knuckles dragging the floor usually) - perhaps they are related?
