EE: Who's your daddy?
EE: Who's your daddy?
So Phil has found Louis and he thinks the best way to walk up to a five year old he hasn't seen since she was a toddler is to just say "I'm your dad"? He's really lost the plot. Of course, I was amazed by this child's calm reaction to a strange, large man telling her this. Like strangers come up to her every other day to say it to her.

Also, what did he think he was going to do anyway? Snatch the girl from the schoolyard? Did he think she'd say "oh daddy, I've missed you so much, where have you been?" Didn't he realize if he just took her home, he'd be in deep crap? If he wanted custody of louise, he should have pursued it in the courts, then called the police once they discovered where she was living. Ah soaps......LOL!!

When Peggy found the note from Phil telling her to make up a bed because he was bringing Louise home my first thought was he was going to abduct her. The other thing that made me uneasy was when Phil called Louise's school and said "um yeah, you're kids are the one's carrying the green bags, right?"
Yeah, soaps, you gotta love 'em.
Yeah, soaps, you gotta love 'em.
That being said, it wouldn't surprise me someone just taking their kid off of the playground and not going to the courts. Especially ones that don't trust the courts. It does happen.
But it's the attitude that Phil has that amazes me. Like you said he just expected her to remember it all and rush into his arms. He really is a few sandwiches short.
I also agree eefan, Ben will just be terrible if she comes back. I'm not looking forward to that at all. He pouted when he first got to the Square, he pouted when Phil started dating, he pouted all through Stella (granted these were all fair pouts) and now he'll pout through this. Can't the writers let this kid spread his acting wings or can he only pout on cue?

This plotline hits a bit too close to home....
My Ex-wife decided when I told her I wanted a divorce did a runner with our daughter, she was only one at the time & had been with me since 2 months old whilst the wife was wherever with her 2 other kids...
(The wife also ripped me off cash wise to a rather large sum of monies)
It took 4 1/2 years to track her down, it was almost like a full time job...
But I can say this... when we met for the first time in almost 5 years she did remember me & she ran straight to me calling 'Daddy'...
(There were several other people there she didn't know)
So, in reality, it's possible that she could have remembered Phill.

This is further proof of Phil would not be a good partner on quiz night, ok, Jack finds the location where Lisa and Louise are living and he walks up to a 6 yr old and says I'm your daddy, does he not think that Louise might tell her mum about the creepy man at the playground and Lisa might run off again. As far as Ben and his reaction to his new found baby sister, remember the thump he gave little Freddie?
Misslisa, I had forgotten that. I think I blocked out so much about Little Moan that I had forgotten that. That could prove to be interesting!misslisalynn wrote:This is further proof of Phil would not be a good partner on quiz night, ok, Jack finds the location where Lisa and Louise are living and he walks up to a 6 yr old and says I'm your daddy, does he not think that Louise might tell her mum about the creepy man at the playground and Lisa might run off again. I don't watch as much these days!)
Sadly?
I'd give my right teste (the bigger of the two) for EE to be shown over here again...
Used to get it on PBS, it was 6 or so years behind but regular omnibus editions... that vanished 4 years ago...
Then I saw some on BBC America, a little more up to date but stil a few years old... that vanished about 3 years ago...
Since then it's been a case of grabbing it around Xmas time for the specials, getting re-hooked until those plot lines go away.

Like father like son...Jack Branning gave Louise's home address to Phil and practically hands the child over on a silver platter. But because it didn't go Phil's way, he clocked Jack while they were upstairs in the kitchen over the Vic. Granted, Jack is a good at head games as Phil is, but was that necessary?misslisalynn wrote: As far as Ben and his reaction to his new found baby sister, remember the thump he gave little Freddie?

I didn't mean to imply I didn't appreciate having the show to watch.... I only meant that I found this a low point for the storylines/show in general so I don't watch it quite as often. But I went many years without being able to see it, so I understand where you're coming from.6ULDV8 wrote:eefanincan wrote:I had forgotten that as well...... and I don't miss Little Moan a bit either!!!!Skylace wrote:Misslisa, I had forgotten that.
