Tony blair - fenian tim!

I'm seeing on the news that Tony Blair has finally converted to Catholicism. I wonder why? I've studied many different religions and the Catholic one is without doubt the least likely to give answers of them all, and I say that having two uncles who are priests.

So with it not being a spiritual development as such, I'm guessing he just wants to hide and gain some kind of forgiveness for being personally responsible for all those deaths in the Iraq and Afghan wars. The coward.

I hope the priest has packed a lunch when Blair shows up for his first confessional.

Indeed an odd choice out of all those religions out there...
But I respect his choice (as I do anyones choice of religion).

Is it known if his wife is Catholic... it's more oft' the case when somebody converts that the spouse is of that religion.

He probably gets a free pass for any sins committed prior to conversion. Since he's not likely to commit mass murder a second time, he's probably a shoe-in for Heaven. They may even nominate him for sainthood. (Perish the thought.)
