I love the fact that they weren't just going to throw it away if he didn't finish it. All he had to do is pay a small fee and have it checked as baggage.

I agree with Sky: Flight personnel don't allow people to fly when they're intoxicated in the first place....so drinking a litre of vodka whilst in the queue is absolutely moronic! What was he thinking?
There's making a point, and there's making a royal *ss of yourself. This qualifies as the latter. He's the one paying for the stunt, afterall; not them.
What would he have done if he had a kitchen knife in his bag? Stabbed himself in the foot?
