Here's a brilliant example of how a few people, in countries where the government at least appears to give a toss, can affect genuine change and prove the fallibility of important systems.

When Scotland used automated voting in last year's elections something like 10-20% of votes were considered 'spoiled'. That's a huge amount of people not having their voices heard.
