Enders: Dot's going it alone

EASTENDERS is to make soap history this coming February with an episode featuring only one character: Albert Square legend Dot Cotton.

Dot, played by June Brown, will feature in a solo episode that sees her make an audio tape for hubby Jim detailing her life story.

Dot will talk about her childhood, her husband Charlie and, of course, son Nick.

She will dictate her memoirs into an audio cassette as a gift to her beloved Jim.

The special episode – a soap first – has been penned by former lead series writer Tony Jordan.

I think this is already somewhere else in the soap section. But it's still amazing. A great challenge for any actor and I think June can pull it off.

I am looking forward to this one. I think June Brown is going to be great in this one. They'll probably have clips of older episodes woven in I imagine. It should be good.
