Wow! He's lucky he didn't lose his leg. Shot with a shotgun at short range? That's scary.

Perhaps now he'll learn proper firearm safety. Leaving one in the chamber with the safety off is just asking for trouble.

birdshot's not that bad Major - it's designed to not actually break the skin, but to work like a really hard hit. Like getting punched by a spray of metal.
