The EastEnder yelled in agony as docs bandaged his leg and banned him from practising for three days.
He told TV Biz: “One minute I was dancing and all of a sudden I was in pain. I pulled some ligaments in my leg and I’ve had to have physio.
“I’m out of action for a few days which is annoying as I’ve been practising hard.
“We’ve been doing four hours a day and it’s really, really difficult. It makes EastEnders look easy.” The injury is a massive blow for Matt — who has been axed as Deano in the BBC1 soap.
He is convinced he will not win the reality show because stunning Kelly Brook is hogging all the limelight.
Matt, 20, moaned: “If I was going to put money on someone it would be Kelly. Every time I open a paper she’s pictured in a skimpy outfit and there’s just a few lines about everyone else.
“But the competition is really intense. Alesha Dixon and Gethin Jones are dark horses. I’d keep an eye on them.”
Matt’s EastEnders co-star Kellie Shirley, 26, who plays Carly, said he is known as Justin Trousersnake on set because of his dance moves.
Matt is one of 14 celebs in this year’s show, which kicks off on BBC1 on Saturday next week.
