First Look: Steven Beale walks back into Walford

This is the moment that EastEnders' Steven Beale walks back into Walford for the first time after five years living abroad.

On Friday, viewers finally saw Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) come face-to-face with his stalker and discover that it was his ex-wife's eldest son, Steven – portrayed by soap newcomer Aaron Sidwell.

An EastEnders source told DS: "Ian couldn't believe his eyes when he found out it was Steven who was stalking him.

"But now, with Ian nowhere to be found, Steven walks back into Walford and reconnects with Peter and Lucy, his younger brother and sister."

They added: "Jane, however, is more concerned as to the whereabouts of her husband – but just what is Steven hiding? And how long will it be before everybody finds out?"

Upon learning that Ian wasn't his biological father, Steven left for New Zealand to live with his real father, Simon 'Wicksy' Wicks (Nick Berry).

Steven was previously played by Edward Savage between 1989 and 2002.

That's exactly who I thought it was when watching it as I couldn't hear quite what Ian said at the end,a nd I thought who the beep is that guy lol.

Wow, so he's kidnapped Ian and left him somewhere and then comes back to reconnect with Lucy and Peter! Damn! That's evil.

I went through the same thing and even replayed the final seconds and STILL thought it was Lucy's boyfriend and STILL didn't understand what Ian said.

This kid looks like evil personified. Once Lucy gets over the fact that he lied about her mum being alive they are going to be a nasty duo.

Oh yes. There will be some great times ahead for Ian, and probably a few other people in the coming months/years. Can't wait!
