FEAR is etched on Albert Square child abuser Stella Crawford's face as she looks about to get her comeuppance.
In her wedding dress, veil and tiara, the bride seems seconds from death as her groom Phil Mitchell hurtles toward her in his trademark Jaguar.
For weeks EastEnders viewers have wondered if Phil would find out about Stella's tormenting of his young son Ben.
She has made the boy think he wets the bed, burned him with a hot spoon and watched gleefully as he was beaten by school bullies.
Now it seems Phil, played by Steve McFadden, has cottoned on - and he is furious.
A show source said last night: "It's time Stella got her comeuppance for the misery she's put Ben through.
"When Phil hears what Stella has been up to he is beside himself with rage. He finally realises what a mad cow she is."
Stella, actress Sophie Thompson, looks as if she will be crushed by Phil's car in these scenes to be shown next month.
BBC bosses are remaining tight-lipped over how she makes her exit.
Neither will they let on whether the pair tie the knot before Phil gets murderous because of his grim discovery.
But one thing is sure, Stella meets an untimely end before the wedding night.

Stella's been abusing Ben for a few months. There are children, in reality, who endure abuse for years. It might be interesting if Phil and Stella married, and she continued to abuse Ben. It might also be intersting if someone witnessed Stella abusing the child and then contacted Child Protective Services. Then there could be an investigation and Stella could deny it and force Ben to lie about it. What would be funny is if one of her little plots to hurt Ben backfired and she ended up harming herself. Or maybe Ben could turn the tables in desperation and try to harm Stella. Or maybe she only has a six month contract. Oh, well.
