there's always a good few things going on here - so I'm looking forward to some of the malarkey at the weekend. It's always better to have a reason for drinking!

We 'drinkers' call it amature day/night....
[marq=right] :) :) :) [/marq]

Not sure if the wife & I are going to go & have dinner on the 17th or the 18th...
It's our Aniversary on the 18th (12th year hitched, 13 years one week together) & the mother in law is coming down, taking the kids to the beach house so we can have some (a full 18 hours) time alone.

Certainly thinking about getting her a green MP3 player (color not energy type green) & loading it with Irish tunes.

For us it won't be anything much really. I've got a scrapbook thing to do. Then it will just home with the hubby. It's my sister's birthday tomorrow so we tend to celebrate that more.

I'll be going into the city for a meal with some pals and off to the pub afterwards. There's meant to be an Irish band playing and I'm really looking forward to it.

This will be us after a few I'm sure

I was kind of thinking Pippi Longstocking myself :)

@ Sky ---- I was kind of thinking of attacking my scrapbooking too..... I'm so far behind. But I'm going to be strict with myself and get all my housework done first. (well, that's what I'm telling myself anyway!!!)

Irish, we'll be sure to down a few for you this weekend - my husband's family are half-Irish (Cork Connellys) so we'll find a good bar and kick up our heels.

All this Irish frivolity always reminds me of a Dublin guy I used to go out with before I met my husband. Shhh...don't tell!!

ah, it takes a while to get a taste for Guinness - it's quite bitter at first, so here's a 3-step plan to being able to appreciate it for the beginner.

1. Smithwick's (creamy ale)
2. Murphy's (like guinness, but a milder flavour)
3. Guinness (no words applicable)

Thank you for the plan. I've just reviewed it with my husband and if we can find the first two, we might consider following it :)

(to be fair I'm not really a beer fan anyway :( )
