I finally got a reply back from www.joost.com which means I can now test out their new TV streaming software. It's really quite impressive though there's not much content at the minute. The streams are fast and of a pretty good quality - I watched a clip from Fifth Gear which had lots of movement (a simple yet effective test to gauga video compression) and it worked as good as could be expected.
I'm not sure if they're letting anyone join up, but I have invites so if you want to try it say here.
Sounds interesting...what sort of content is it? I assume they are not rebroadcasting anything that is copyright protected...does that mean they are producing their own programs and showing public domain stuf?
it just looks like a mix of music, sports, general stuff at the moment - it's in the testing stage just now really. It's a pretty cool setup they have going too - the full-screen on-screen graphics and navigation make it something that I reckon will really catch on.

Thx
turns out I've not actually got any invitations after all, I just read one bit and not the whole thing - sorry about that. But you can try signing up normally - it took me at least 6 weeks to get a reply though
