EE: who gets number 45?

MOVING IN TO PAULINE'S

WIMPY BEALE INHERITS HOUSE
23/02/2007

IT'S the big EastEnders question everyone wants answered - who is going to live in Pauline's old house?

Well, we can reveal that it's her wimpy nephew Ian Beale!

Ian, who has lived in Walford forever, will take up residence with his three kids and his girlfriend Jane next month.
(At least the removal costs will be low - the house at 45 Bridge Street is 20 yards from his current address of 55 Victoria Street).

A show source tells us: "When Pauline died, she'd left the house to Martin - but he was banned from selling it or living there with Sonia.

"Now that they have left Walford for a fresh start, Ian is the only other living relative of Pauline's left. He is keen to move in for sentimental reasons.

"The main advantage is that he'll now be opposite the Queen Vic, so he won't have to go very far for a pint."

Actor Adam Woodyatt filmed his 2,000th episode last week - making him the soap's most-seen character of all time. Phew.

His new home has been in the family since the Second World War, and that front room has certainly seen some action. It was the setting for Michelle's shock pregnancy announcement, Mark's revelation that he was HIV+, Arthur's nervous breakdown and Martin's stabbing.

Now at last it will get a lick of paint after the departure of Pauline and her precious fruit bowl.

NEWS just in! EastEnders couple Honey and Billy Mitchell are to have another baby - just months after finally accepting their Down's Syndrome child as their own.

The pair are worried that the tot - a brother or sister for Janet - will have the same condition. But they bravely go ahead with the pregnancy, and Honey will give birth at the end of the year. Hurrah!

It will be interesting to see what they've done with good ol' number 45...... will there be another fruitbowl? Seems to me it would be a bit crowded in that front room with the three kids and Ian and Jane and the dog, but hey, there seems to be unlimited space upstairs. :)

Wow. However, I thought Martin could sell it. There is even a For Sale sign up and he even told Sonia he would sell it.

Yeah, he did say that, didn't he? I thought maybe I heard wrong. Anyway, how can she ban him from selling it? he legally owns half of it. Maybe Ian will buy out Martin's half and accept his inherited half.

I don't think she could. Remember a while back Ian was all upset it was put on the market in the first place :?
