James, a colleague of mine's son, was stabbed to death at school this morning. Just 15 years old.

In leafy suburban Sudbury....just shocked by it all...don't know what to say to Jon, he's just about the nicest bloke you'll ever meet too.

I'm really sorry to hear that Bob. I saw it on CNN this morning and it's just a bloody shame.

There's not going to be much right now you or anyone can really say because the shock and grief will be overwhelming. It's just horrible to hear of this happening to anyone, but seeing it happen to such a young man really shows how brutal and cold society is today.

Just say what's in your heart, Bob, and the main thing is to listen and be there for him. Likely the severity of it all won't sink in for a few days.

Tragedies like this are never easy--- my heart goes out to you all.

It just sucks all around ... The kid who did it will probably get off because of his disorder but he probably needed more help than he was getting to deal with the disorder.

I'm with the others on this - just say what is in your heart.

Aye, it's going to be weird going back to work tomorrow...as it's a pretty tight group of people, though no doubt the guy is going to be taking some time off.

It's still just really surreal, and hammers home that shit can happen anywhere, because Sudbury, you just wouldn't think anything like it would happen there it's just such a lovely and quiet area.
