EE: Wendy Richard gone

EASTENDERS veteran Wendy Richard held her leaving do in the soap set?s SMOKING ROOM.

The ciggie-loving star, 63 ? who has played Pauline Fowler for 22 years ? filmed her final scenes last week.

Instead of having a boozy bash, Wendy, below, invited a few pals to a do in the only place where stars can smoke at the set in Elstree, Herts

I wish her the best. It will be strange on the Square without her. Maybe some people will be happy!

As much as she aggrevated me at times, I'll miss her character. She was such a fixture on the show........ I'm wondering who's going to take over as "matriarch" of the square?

I know I will miss her too. She was such a big part of the show. The only other person I could really think who could take over would be Peggy.

Little Mo is the obvious contender!

She can dish out knock-off advice and overbearing attitudes with the best I'm sure...

not only was she a great actess, I met Wendy
in London a number of time. She great fun to be
out with, sorry to see Wendy go.
