Corrie - SPOILER - Bad Boy Charlie

Bad boy Charlie Stubbs goes to drastic lengths to keep his affair a secret. When Charlie - played by Bill Ward, 39 - realises David Platt is about to spill the beans about his affair with hairdresser Maria Sutherland, he plots a violent kidnap. The builder decides to teach David a lesson by bundling him into a van, but David refuses to be intimidated.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Charlie decides on kidnap and a damn good battering. He grabs David from his house when he's home alone and chucks him in the van. "He is preparing to batter the living daylights out the teenager."

David's quite tough now, with all that he's been through so I suspect this will come to nought.

I have to say though that this storyline is getting a little far-fetched, even for a soap.

Well, I hope David pushes a few of Charlie's buttons before he gets his fanny spanked. I love some of the witty things the Corrie writers have the characters say sometimes.

As much as I love the thought of something happening to David, this just seems to be getting a bit silly in my opinion. It's not even like Charlie cares all that much about Tracy so what's the big deal about anyone finding out he's been sleeping with Maria?
