I'm Manic49er and am a Noobie here on the forums, tho I've been lurking on the Viz page for years. I try to earn my keep by helping websites when they have bad download links ;+)) Really, have had thanks from many, one even sent me a copy of one of his published books (as I try to tell them what I think is wrong with the link as well, ....
Anyhoo, I've been around computers since the mainframe/miniframe days when you saved your typed in programs on paper ribbons and IBM punch cards with thousands of holes punched out thru the emerging personal computer era of the 70's and 80's (my 1st personal computer was a Sinclair ZX81 which I stubbornly used til I upgraded to a Commodore 128 which I stubbornly used til it also was years abandoned by everyone else and I finally moved into the mainstream PC world (a '386), tho I had of course used XT's and 286's at work and helped out my coworkers whenever they trashed their files/systems ;+))
I now collect these old computers and their software (but only when I can get them cheap as I was out of work for 4 years and am still recovering) as well as their emulation counterparts.
