This site could become quite handy in future as more and more people take part. Pothole spotting could become a new hobby... haha

I was watching an episode of Qi the other night and it was mentioned that at one point an English guy drowned in a pothole, along with his horse... that would take some beating!

Was it Dr. Foster, in a shower of rain?

This is awesome. We live on a country road outside of Bristol and it gets used as a tip. The council had signs up with a phone number on to ring if you see someone doing it, but they have either been stolen or the council has given up. A couple of weeks a go someone dumped a load of garden furniture, kids toys and a dead goat.

We have a phone line to call with problems as well as an iPhone app where you can take a picture of whatever is the issue and send it in. Overall it's been good and the city responds pretty quickly to the issues.

A dead goat, Stones? haha I wonder if the goat died first and they thought to themselves about what else they could dump...

Sky, I think that site is linked in to the iphone app as well - it's a good idea for sure.

It has been a really handy app to have. Let's me bug them at a more effective level.

Wish they had something like that here...... there's been a big pothole at the end of my driveway for the last three years and they can't seem to do anything other than put a bit of fill in it every spring (which comes right out in a few days!) and then we're right back where we started. :(

:) It's gone now. Last night there were some tyres, some rubble and a silver Ford Car. Technically the car was more in the field but I think that was an accident.

That stinks eefan. I never understand why they do it. In the long run it's cheaper for them to fix it right. Sadly, what you need to have happen is someone badly damage their car in that pothole and sue the city for it. Then you can be sure it would be sorted right.
