Billy Mays found dead

Post by Skylace »

This won't mean much to people outside of the US but another celebrity is found dead. As infomercials go, I really liked Billy Mays and he was from the Pittsburgh area originally. He certainly beat the heck out of the Slap Chop guy!

My sister said he was interviewed just recently because the plane he was just on that landed in Tampa blew out it's front tires and he said that he was hit in the head with something, but that he was okay. We were thinking that maybe he had one of those brain swells like Natasha Richardson had. What a shame.

That is what we are thinking as well Pirty. Very sad indeed and a shame.

I too thought of Natasha Richardson. I didn't like the booming voice and I felt as though he was yelling so I was uncomfortable watching him. But I'd never have wished this on him. How tragic.

We loved Billy Mays in our house...it was a sad day indeed. We made the hit in the head connection too...I am NEVER going to play around with a bump on the head again.

I think they said that the bump on the head wasn't the cause after all, but that it was likely heart disease. Wow, so young. RIP Billy Mays.

Sad for sure. One of my friends dad's died at 50 from heart disease, just terrible. It's so scary though that he was feeling so unwell before he went to bed. I am sure there was no way he could know that was probably a symptom.

They interviewed his brother on the local news last night (he still lives here) and he was just shocked. Billy ate well, exercised, etc but they do have a history of heart disease in the family. More than likely they thought it was okay since he was looking after himself. My thoughts are with all of his family as this cannot be easy at all.
