I saw this reported on CNN today -- the media critic interviewed by Anderson Cooper essentially said that Beck was evolving into his own "cult of personality" with his "controversial" viewpoints.

Dang!!! Beck is too much for Fox News? Can't wait to hear what Jon Stewart has to say about it on "The Daily Show" -- Stewart (and many comedians and pundits) must feel as though Christmas/ Hanukkah has come early this year!

The state of US cable media is such a crazy environment that I, like many people, view comedy-driven "The Daily Show" as the best place for a sane take on the news. Sad, but true, isn't it?

With Beck it's a bit like when Bush got evicted - so many comedians were crapping themselves because he was like a supermarket of stupidity. Where will they shop now?!

I didn't know his shows were online now - I might start watching to see how desperate he gets to promote his next big idea about how to talk shite to a large audience.
