I love stories like this for the comments. So many bitter, jealous bastards. haha
Daily Mail readers up in arms!
in a way though, you can kinda understand - i mean, 8 grand a month in rent - who could afford that normally?! i know londons expensive - thats why i moved here - but 8 grand a month?! thats 96k a year - just on rent! i wonder what the council tax would be on that place?!
i don't blame the family though - fair play to them, if i could blag some sweet flat and get it paid for - i would!
there seems to be a bit of a scam going on here though, if it was being offered for rent previously for half the amount they're now paying for it someones coining it in! thats not the fault of the family though, but the council should see that and think somethings not right here ...
in a way though, although the family will be loving it now, long term when he gets a job - he's not going to be able to afford that rent, then he'll have to look for some place within his price range - which, going on his previous wage of £6.50 an hour, isn't going to include this place!
it does raise some interesting issues though - like would you bother getting a job in that situation? i don't think i would
also, people having larger families than they can really afford. is it fair on the children to have them if you can't really afford them?
