HELP!!!!!

I've just had real problems with a virus and have just had it all sorted out (I think). I am now getting 2 pop ups - One is Messenger Service - says - STOP - windows requires immediate attention - Windows has found 55 critical system errors - to fix
1. Dowload registry update from www.regfixit.com
2. Install registry update
3. Run registry update
4. Reboot

failure to act now may lead to system failure.

I keep closing the window and the f....er keeps coming back

the other is similar and says go to different websites like www.registryrepairxp.com, regdoc32.com, fixwin32.com. Each time it pops up it has a different www

I'm scared to go into it or check it out because I don't want to go back to square one and lose everything again but I don't know what to do to get rid of it or whether to accept it

Can anyone give me advice please

It sounds like you've lost Service Pack 2 from your windows, though I could be wrong.

Face - thanks a million. I don't know what I'd do without you - had to download quite a few things to get somewhere near what I had before. Just about got most things back now and am going to try downloading the programmes I've missed since not having the computer. Thanks xx
