Guns or no guns, this was in international waters...

Now that they have seized the ship, it wouldn't surprise me if they plant weapons.

I just watched a BBC World news report in which the interviewee (BBC correspondent who's name I didn't catch) had the audacity to refer to this as a case of "crowd control". The footage did show a physical skirmish, but I saw no guns other than in the hands of Israeli soldiers.

These ships were inspected, as I recall. And there were cameras all over the Turkish vessel, so I would like to see Israel try to claim that they were armed. 10 dead & ~50 wounded activists; not a single Israeli casualty.

Piracy and murder on the high seas -- there's no other way to put it.

Previous BBC title has been updated to "Israeli forces storm Gaza aid ship". but they did sneak in this:
The exact location of the interception is unclear. Israel had warned the ships not to enter its territorial waters.
The implication is clear: that the flotilla was in Israeli waters. This is tripe: the whole trip was monitored via GPS. The last reported coordinates where 90 miles from Israel.

If this is in International waters, the people on board the aid ship are entitled to defend themselves no matter how vain it may have been.

I saw some footage of the people of the boat hitting IDF with rods or bars as they came down from the helicopters, but hey I would have probably done the same.

This is murder most foul...

I'm just going to boycott the BBC today, I think...

I'm sick of their nuanced bias...

Funny you should say that. I ran to my tv to channel surf to find some coverage and am strongly considering canceling the whole damn thing. CNN: Larry King. CBC: a British doc about women and prostitution; oh, and Celine Dion is pregnant!. It makes me want to puke.

If you're on twitter, follow freegazaorg and rcfoundation.

A new update from Gaza TV News. Possibly 20 killed.
