I thought this episode was really well done -- filled with some of that good 'ol EE humour, which was a nice break after a few days of some heavy drama.
My favourite bit was when Christian said, "I'll call 999 and see if they can talk her down" and Zainab says, "I'm not an aircraft!"
That and the typical woman in labour bit of "I never wanted this baby" and "I hate you". I thought she did a great job of playing a woman in labour (and I've seen a few in my day!).
I busted out laughing at that line as well eefan. I think you're right that this was a good moment of laughter and joy after a few really heavy episodes.
Of course, we must ask how this will affect Z's relationship with Christian!
It was a good one. I love how Zainab is portrayed. Some real comic moments with her. I still think she'll give Christian the cold shoulder though! Not once did she say how Christian saved the day by finding her and getting hold of Masood or offering to dial 999.
Yeah, I don't think it is going to change Z toward Christian at all. I think her religion and her upbringing are too firmly ingrained for her to overlook Christians "transgressions".
I don't think she would have made it thru the birth if Christian had done it!!
That would have put a new spin on things!
