Woman knocks the Pope over

Post by faceless »

I just saw on the news that some woman has jumped out at the Pope as he was about to say Mass and knocked him over. He's apparently ok, and continued on, but I wonder what it was about?

Yep, I saw it as it happened ....it was weird. All of a sudden all the security guys were running around in a panic. THey were pushing cardinals around to get to the Pope...

All I saw was a shot up the aisle, with the security running down towards the back of the church, so hopefully the full scene will appear soon. Apparently she skittled a Cardinal too - he's been taken to hospital.

This is apparently her second "run in" with the Pope, so to speak. She has breeched security before at another Papal visit. What a looney tune!

I saw it reported on CNN. What is there, a shortage of Psych hospital beds in Italy? Am I missing something here? How is she out walking around?

I think she is just another obsessive nut who's main focus happens to be the pope and not Elton John or George Michael.

I am sure Italy has the same issues with mental health care that most countries have. Keeping people who need to be in there isn't always easy. I can tell you working for mental health that loads of people who need to be in can't be kept in for loads of reasons.
