Yeh, "God help our young kids": they should be so lucky to turn out like Tom Morello - he graduated with honours from Harvard. He is extemely intelligent and talented, whether or not you agree with his political leanings. He also gave the best speech I've ever heard at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions for The Clash. I give mad props to the guy.
whether or not you agree with his political leanings.
i didn't know anything about them until the other day, but having read a bit they seem spot on politically. how many artists read out chomsky at gigs?!
here's zack de la rocha interviewing noam chomsky;
I never warmed to their music but I have always been impressed with the politics of Rage Against the Machine.
They are genuine radicals and social activists who have a very impressive record in striving to make the world a better place.
From supporting Mumia Abu Jamal , the Zapatistas, increasing awareness about Palestine,to their Rage Against Sweatshops & Rage Against Torture tours,appearing at Anti-Nazi League gigs,quoting Che Guevera, their staunch opposition to the war in Iraq and reading out Noam Chomsky exceprts at concerts, they are utterly, utterly unique. Noam Chomsky
