I will admit I don't have a lot to add on the topic discussion of Dexter, but I had to put my two pence in and confess my great love for an evening watching a few Dexter episode. Fantastic show and I am gutted i have not found this thread until now. Anyone looking forward to the four season (perhaps i should find definite proof of its existence but i have heard things ) or do you feel the show has lost it? I tend to find at the end of each season the thought of it continuing is nonsensical but by half way through the first episode of the news series i get it and am impressed.
it means that it's not broadcast yet - a press copy or something.
I'm not sure when the series starts, but after watching the episode I (sadly) wasn't that keen. they must have got different writers or something - it just doesn't seem as tight as the previous 3 series.

From wiki...
John Lithgow has been confirmed to join the cast of Dexter for season 4. Lithgow will play Walter Simmons, an unassuming, mild-mannered suburbanite who has been living a dual life as one of America's most prolific and deadly serial killers. Dubbed the "Trinity Killer" because of his proclivity to kill in threes, he relocates to Miami after being tracked by retired FBI Special Agent Frank Lundy (Keith Carradine). Brought on to assist in the investigation of Miami's latest serial killer, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) becomes fascinated with "Trinity's" unique killing methods and his ability to evade capture for almost three decades.
I'm just watching episode 402 and there's a bit where Dexter types in his password... for someone that covers his tracks at every turn, why does he have such an easy one?
Could it be just a very cheap plot device for the cop who earlier in the show guessed a guy's safe code by asking what his birth date was?
The series finale for "Dexter" is this Sunday, 12/13/09. I'm on pins and needles for this episode -- I am sooo worried for Dexter right now! John Lithgow has been amazing, too. Can't wait to see the end!

Indeed... the season dragged for me but the last few weeks have been great.
