I saw MJ playing Grateful Dead covers on a kazoo at the BART station on 24th & Mission in San Francisco. I asked him to play Billie Jean, but he said he was trying to go in another direction with his music. What pure genius! He is not dead, trust me. He is just really tired, and at the time I saw the man he needed a couple of bucks for some beer. I gave him a dollar then wished him luck in his new musical venture.
I'm watching the opening statement of the trial of Jackson's doctor. It sounds like Jacko must have been pretty much a zombie for months before he died. A phone message that he left was pretty shocking in how fucked-up he sounds - I'm sure that will be available online very soon...
What I thought was in bad taste was the publication of the photo of him lying on the gurney after being pronounced dead at the hospital. Really not something the world needed to see.......bad enough the jury had to.
I was upset by the picture too. Not just because it was MJ but for anyone. I can only hope his children are being kept as far away from the coverage as possible.
Regardless of what anyone thinks of him, he was their father and they loved him.
