Boy 'too tall' for children's meal
A 10-year-old boy was deemed "too tall" to qualify for a child's discount meal by a Chinese restaurant in Gloucester.
Ben Gardner and his family went to the Angel Chef Chinese buffet restaurant hoping to take advantage of the half-price children's meal but were bemused when staff measured him when he went up to the buffet to fill his plate.
His father Gareth, from Saintbridge, Gloucester, had to pay the full price of £10 when they told him Ben was 9cm over the 140cm height limit.
