Crufts dropped by RSPCA, sponsors and BBC

This year's Crufts dog show has started in Birmingham even though it's major sponsors (Pedigree foods) has pulled out along with support from the RSPCA. They have avoided connection after a BBC documentary last year in which many breeds were shown to have been bred to such extremes that it was causing great pain and discomfort in the dogs. King Charles spaniels were among the worst affected in as much as they had been bred to have small skulls, creating pressure on their brains as they grow and great pain as a result.
