If anyone's been listening to the Galloway show tonight you'll already know about the '9000' callers. On a quick search I found this:

It's had 5m viewers, so I'm guessing it might be something to do with it. If the callers tonight had tried to slip 'All your base are belong to us' into their calls I'd have been much more impressed!
After a bit more checking 'candlejack' and relating that to another comment about playing Battle Toads) I think this whole 'attack' was as a result of World of Warcraft players on some forum.
I'm not bored enough to dig deeper...
