If u seek Amy

Post by pirtybirdy »

I noticed at the club on Eastenders they were playing that new "controversial" song of Britney Spears "If you seek Amy". I wonder if Eastenders used it for both the controversy the song brings and the fact that the girl in the title is the name of her long lost daughter Amy. :?

I don't know the answer Pirty, but it's funny that you noticed it. Sometimes I think the writers like to play little tricks like that to see who is paying attention.

I read somewhere on the BBC Eastenders website that they take the music choices in the background very seriously. They said the songs they play are important to what is going on in the scene. So it wouldn't surprise me. Good ears pirty!

Nice pick up pirty --- I didn't notice it, but will go back and have a listen.

Great catch pirty - I'm going to have a listen as well.

I wonder how long this "Amy/Danielle" thing is going to drag out (I don't read spoilers, because I like to be surprised). It seems as though Amy/Danielle has come very close to telling Ronnie about her identity, but Ronnie's last tirade about "having a baby was the biggest mistake in my life" seems to have put the 'Big Identity Reveal' on hold indefinitely.

Sometimes I think Eastenders drags on storylines longer than necessary. To me, it seems like Coronation Street doesn't drag out the surprise that long. If they drag it on for too long, then I'll just get bored of the whole darned thing and wish that Danielle would just go back home and forget about the whole thing...lol!

What I have loved about British soaps is the fact that storylines finish up faster then the ones here in the States. However, I do agree pirty. Sometimes EE does drag it out a bit. Not as much as US soaps, but more than what it should be. Danielle should tell Ronnie and get it done with.
