The hologram reporting on CNN is really freaking me out. It looks like a cheap, STV of Star Wars. |

there was a woman on there earlier, dragging up images from a screen that she was standing next to - that was cool.
Watching now, it's like the bloody NASA control room! |

Wow - I'm watching history happening. Obama is the projected winner. He'll be making his acceptance speech shortly.
There are tears in my eyes right now at the thought/hope that the debacle of the past 8 years is finally coming to an end! |

Wow, even my home state of Virginia went to Obama. The last time a Democrat won in Virginia was in 1964 when Lyndon Johnson defeated U.S. Sen. Barry Goldwater. Virginia also replaced retiring Republican Senator John Warner (former husband of Elizabeth Taylor) with a Democrat - former Virginia Governor Mark Warner (no relation). People are celebrating in the streets - it's amazing. |

It must be great for everyone concerned who has had to live under such a regime as bush's. I might even think about visiting america now - that's how much of a difference this makes. This will affect America's reputation around the world in a very positive way.
I just saw a BBC news report from Tehran where the reporter has said that many extremists in Iran are confused now because they didn't believe for a minute that Obama would be elected. If McCain had won, they'd have had confirmation that America is purely a warmongering nation - so well done! |

That was reported here as well Face and a lot of analysts were saying that even before all the results came in. It was going to confuse a lot of people outside of the US who have assumptions about us that are so deep. This shows the world that we are not who they have thought we were for so many years. And I've never been so happy with my country. |

It's amazing to think that until 1967 Obama was illegitimate in Virginia since mixed marriages were not recognised by the law. |
