I'm not against a global currency at all - in the global markets at least. The only people who would lose out are the currency exchangers.
However, I wouldn't pay any credence to what Sarkozy's French government says. He's just trying to curry favour.

One instance doesn't mean the other is true.
A global system controlled by a lot more people would seem to the way forward. 20 years ago I wouldn't have had a clue what you, as some guy from Florida, thought of the world, but we are now able to speak on a global basis.
Globalisation isn't a bad thing directly, it's who is in control of it that matters.

I have to agree. globalisation isn't a bad thing at all, if done correctly. But you see, my friend, you and I are smart enough to know that. But there are people who are as smart as you or I that understand that globalization is inevitability going to happen, and who have evil intent, and who want to captilize on the sitution of the inevitable.
My stance against globalization is not because I think it will be a bad thing naturally. My stance comes from knowing it is happening because of the will of small groups of men, who are not for the rest of the world. And globalisation is not happening naturally.
