Manchester City have been taken over by an Arab group backed by Abu Dhabi's royal family who immediately pledged to transform them into the biggest club in the world. The Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG) bought the club for £210million yesterday in a deal that looks set to shake up the order in world football. The takeover could now see the club challenge local rivals Manchester United.

The club's new owner, multi-billionaire Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim intends to make City a world force and immediately signalled his intentions with the dramatic signing of Brazilian star Robinho last night.

Bloody hell, that's some going! What's is face at Chelsea did quite well by injecting massive piles of money, so it will be good to see how this works out.

Yep, if Chelski can buy their position, then so can everyone else. Good for City. Now we just have to find a deep pocketed buyer for Spurs!!
