Kentucky Killings Caught On CCTV
Jul 16, 2008[/align]
Dramatic CCTV pictures have been released of the moment a disgruntled worker went on a killing spree in a factory in the US. Wesley N Higdon killed his supervisor, four other colleagues and himself in the rural Kentucky town of Henderson last month.

It was reported he had had a row with the supervisor about wearing goggles and using his mobile phone at work. The CCTV video shows Higdon walking into the staff canteen, having already shot his boss in the car park. He shoots at several colleagues, most of whom are able to flee. At least one is not so lucky, however. The gunman discards a spent magazine from his .45 calibre pistol before leaving the canteen. Higdon is then seen walking into the warehouse where he shoots another colleague in the head from behind. Shocked co-workers are seen milling around the man's body after Higdon has left.

The killer's girlfriend, Teresa Solano Ventura, said she was not aware that Higdon carried a gun in his car. She described him as generous and "a good person". She has a seven-month-old son with Higdon. The killings stunned the Ohio River town of about 28,000 people, where many residents know or are related to a worker at the plant, which employs about 160 people.

The way he's so deliberate about it all suggests he'd planned it all out. The mad prick.

Yikes. I sometimes wonder what it feels like to snap like that. I wonder if you know on some background level you've gone insane as you're doing stuff like that, or if the insanity is just total.

I've had moments of temporary madness where I've done things I'd never do, but when I was doing them I was sort of thinking "Wow. I wonder if this is really happening? Am I doing this or is it a mad hallucination. Hmmm, if this is real, I look stupid"
