John Smeaton - The Hero of Glasgow Airport

I was talking to a friend today who has friends in the police, and according to him there is no evidence at all that John Smeaton, the guy who is lauded as the hero of the attempted bombing of Glasgow Airport, did anything at all. All the video footage (as yet unreleased) shows is that the others who were involved (including an ex cop who broke his leg) were the real ones who should be put up as heroes.

Who knows if this story will develop at the current time, but the video footage should become public in about 50 years, so there's one for the grandkids!

i remember him from the time, there was a web site set up to celebrate his bravery ...

I was also told today that that website was set up by someone from the BBC. Pass the popcorn! haha
