EE: Horrific New Year death to hit Walford

Post by carmelina »

EastEnders' Kevin Wicks will be killed off in a dramatic car accident on New Year's Eve.

Kevin, played by Phil Daniels, will be driving a bent motor from Phil Mitchell when a fault causes the crash. The vehicle flips through the air and lands on its roof, causing Wicks to be impaled on a piece of wreckage. His fate is sealed when the car bursts into flames.

A source told The Sun: "Kevin's death will be the horrid highlight of New Year's Eve."

The story starts when Phil blackmails Kevin by vowing to stop him from renting the car lot unless he gets involved in a vehicle scam.

Daniels announced that he was quitting the soap in August.

on the same topic:

EASTENDERS will screen its most gruesome death yet when Kevin Wicks gets killed in a car smash on New Year’s Eve.

So yet again, the soap’s writers are bringing us sack loads of doom and gloom during the festive season.

Last year Pauline Fowler died on Christmas Day.

Kevin, played by Phil Daniels, will be driving one of Phil Mitchell’s bent motors.

The car will career through Albert Square when a fault causes a crash.

In the accident, the car is flipped into the air and lands on its roof, impaling Kevin through the chest with a piece of wreckage.

And just to make sure Kev really is finished off, the death-trap vehicle then explodes in a ball of flames.

Kevin is caught up in Phil’s shady deals while trying to raise the cash to take son Deano on a round-the-world trip when he comes out of jail.

Phil (Steve McFadden) has blackmailed him by threatening to stop him renting the car lot unless he takes part in the dodgy car scam.

We told last August how actor Phil, 49, was quitting.

His decision prompted EastEnders chiefs to also axe Kevin’s kids, played by Kellie Shirley and Matt Di Angelo.

Kevin’s missus Denise is also set to vanish from screens because the actress who plays her, Diane Parish, is pregnant.

A source said: “Kevin’s death will be the horrid highlight of New Year’s Eve.”

New year, new misery. I'll miss Kevin's quirkiness and I don't agree with them getting rid of Dean and Carly.

I'll so miss Kevin as well. He's a wonderful character. I won't miss Dean that much but I will miss Carly. However, from what I have read both of the young actors say it is time to move on and do some more things. They may even come back. After all look at Ricky and Bianca!

I'll miss Phil Daniels as well. I liked his character. I would have preferred he walk off in the sunset with Deano than to have been killed so horribly. Can't there be an actual Happy Holiday on Eastenders? LOL!!

We have happy Christmas's on Days of our Lives every year I can think of. As for happy endings, we haven't gotten there yet
But there have been some happy holidays on EE with Alfie and Kat, their wedding and leaving together. Those are just the first two that come to mind. I also don't think everything is a misery on EE during the holidays but in all honesty, it's probably a bit more true towards reality with all the stress that happens during the holidays, families getting together, etc. I mean the suicide rate goes up around the holidays not down and that isn't because people are feeling the cheer.
I for one look forward to a bit of sad on the EE at Christmas. It makes it a bit more fun than the constant sicking sap we get every where else.

I like the holiday deaths. It's like a tradition now. As soon as you see the fruit and veg stall selling Mistletoe you know someone is going to die, fa la la la.

Do they have soaps in NYC? LOL!! I suppose there hasn't been a soap anywhere that I've seen with any happy endings during the holidays, but can't someone be the first for crying out loud????

Christmas Day 2006. RIP Pauline Fowler, has it been a year already?

With their track record you'd think the residents of Walford would be fleeing the area to save their lives on Christmas day.
