Di inquest hears of 'white flash'
By ONLINE REPORTER
www.thesun.co.uk

A MOTORIST who witnessed the crash which killed Diana, Princess of Wales recalled today that he saw a "major white flash" in the Alma underpass.

Francois Levistre was driving in front of the Mercedes when the fatal collision happened in the Paris tunnel more than 10 years ago in August 1997. Speaking by video link from the French capital for the inquest into the deaths of Diana and her lover Dodi Fayed, Mr Levistre described how the Princess's car was overtaken by a motorbike inside the underpass.

He told the jury he saw a very bright flash - like the light from a police radar - and it had been directed at the Mercedes. Mr Levistre said, speaking through a translator: "I realised there was this major white flash of the motorbike in front of the Mercedes, in front of the car. I was nearly at the exit of the tunnel and I realised that because I heard the noise of the motorbike within the tunnel." He said the flash was like when you "switch on the lights and you can see clearly". "I just wondered what happened because the light was like you were caught by the police in a radar," he added.

Ian Burnett QC, counsel for the inquest, asked: "This flash was very bright?" Mr Levistre replied: "Very. The light even came into my car." He added: "The light was not directed towards me. It was directed towards the car which was behind."

The witness, who saw the events in his rear view mirror, described how the Mercedes veered from side to side before it turned around. "When I saw the light, I looked into the mirror... I saw the car going from left to right to left again to get within the pillar. The car had no light any longer. Everything was switched off."

Mr Levistre, who stopped near the exit from the Pont de l'Alma tunnel, saw the motorcycle passenger get off, approach the car, look inside, and make a hand gesture to the bike's driver before they drove away. He told the jury, sitting at the High Court in London, that the bike's occupants looked at him before passing his vehicle and leaving the underpass. Mr Levistre also said he saw a small white car in the tunnel, but maintained that there was no contact between this and the Mercedes.

He could not confirm that it was a Fiat Uno.

------------------

So it looks like the suspicions about the flash might have been right...

Good find faceless. I do recall some talk of a white flash, but hardly covered in the papers.

The cover-up continues because the official report denies any such bike (or white car) in the tunnel. They want to blame it totally on the driver (who according to them had so much alcohol in his blood that he should not have been able to walk).

Note that flashes have been used by military for assassinations (to stun a driver). Even if it was an ordinary journalist taking shots from the back of a motorbike, it is still a cover-up.

I just found this site and while my jaw didn't quite drop, it certainly fell open a bit! It's apparently channeled messages from Diana...

What a load of crap. Liked the woman, but she never "spoke" like that in real life unless someone wrote a speech for her.

there was one line I read that went something like 'I don't like to see this type of thing on my site' which got me in particular... if you're going to pretend to be channeling a spirit, don't suggest that you're doing it through HTTP!

So the verdict's in and the jury have said it was an 'unlawful killing' based on the driver being drunk and the actions of the paparazzi.

So that's that then - no real change to the official story.

How many millions of dollars later to figure what most people actually knew already????????? Wonder how many charities could have been helped with that.

She's gone. Let's let her rest in peace and be done with it all. Move on.

It would be great if Dodi Fayad's father felt like that too. Just let the deceased rest in peace.

Exactly! But keeping quiet wouldn't keep the Harrods name in the public and wouldn't make money now would it???????

he was on an exclusive ITN itnerview last night and said that while he still believed that they were murdered that he would let it drop now. He looked like a fairly broken old man and was close to tears. It was pretty sad really.

I don't think they were murdered, but I do think there were factors that caused their death that could have been avoided. Namely for starters the drunken/high chauffeur driving at incredibly high speeds. The pesky papparazzi were secondary factors. It's a damn shame it happened.

Yes, it was sad..... I was actually quite surprised that he's letting it go, but I think it's the only way he'll heal.
