EE: The Masoods

Post by Skylace »

Well, we have a new family on the Square. And finally one that isn't white.

So far I am liking them. Especially the father. Zainab is obviously a bit of a bitch but I have loved her banter and such with Denise (who is a bit of a bitch as well). They play well off of each other. The son has been fun to watch with Libby :nerd: (Lord I am still so glad they stopped calling her Squiggle).

The daughter Shabnam has me wondering though because on her profile at the EE website it says:
Shabnam's an intelligent girl, with hidden depths. She knows her own mind, but does what her parents ask... at least that's what she lets them think
and
Most likely to say:
"There's nothing wrong with a white lie."

From what I have seen of this character she doesn't seem deceptive. Instead she has been pretty quiet and embarrassed by her mother's behavior. So it's a thing that makes me go hmmmmm...

They are 100% better than the Ferrara's. The father is a goofball, I loved the whole mail thing with K. Wicks and now the furnitures movers being a friend of a friend. They don't seem like they are going to be a dull family.

I hope they turn out to be vital, rich additions to the square. Considering how their move into the house they "stole" from Denise went, I think we're going to enjoy the family. First impressions....Zainab's husband is a scream.

Any new blood in the Square is a good idea...... should be some interesting storylines ahead.

I'm not liking the Masoods so far. Maybe the husband was a bit okay with the whole "are you really Kevin Wicks" bit, but I don't like Shabnam or Mrs. Masood. If this keeps up, Eastenders is going to continue to go down the toilet. Along with this family, I also can't stand Roxy and Ronnie. These are the two biggest twats yet they have dragged in. They really need to do something quick to save this show. Yuck! I thought it was going to get good with the whole Steven thing. That was a bit disappointing in the end. Oh well. I hate to sound constantly pessimistic, but........there we have it. :-(

See and I really like the family. I can't stand Ronnie and Roxy. And I did enjoy the the Steven story. I honestly feel like the show has improved and have really enjoyed what I have been watching and find myself getting geared up for the next episode.

 You don't have to like them, no worries there. I would happily head up the "Get Rid of Ronnie and Roxy" fan club!

I definitely prefer the Masoods to the Ferraras. The father seems to be very funny -- something the Square really needs as it seems that only Gary and Minty have been providing the much-needed comic relief.

I don't overly care for the Masoods but really haven't seen enough of the entire family to make up my mind. The mother though is a proper, bitch! I could do without her.

@Sky -- I agree entirely about the Steven storyline. The actor did an excellent job of portraying his character--- I felt really creeped out by him!

Okay.....If they continue to give Mr. Masood good funny lines like they have, I'd be okay with him divorcing Mrs. Masood and staying while Mrs. Masood moves away from the square with her useless daughter......LOL!

He does give a bit of a chuckle, thats for sure pirty. That being said, I think the mother is just a bitch and I really dislike her. I'd be quite happy with her leaving!
