Hate crimes against liberals ?

Post by Mandy »

Recall how the student was tasered for asking Kerry awkward questions, and how anti-bush demonstrators are herded into cages, or even in London a few years back when everyone around oxford street (including tourists with children) was herded into an enclosure (effectively arrested) with no food or drinks for hours.

This is all background demonisation of the anti-right wing majority.

I'm very shocked about this - I listen to her radio show a lot!! Get well soon, Randi.

I doubt it was a hate-crime though, I mean - she's walking her dog in New York City at night. Muggings there are rife!! It's really jumping the gun to assume it must have been an irked Republican.

I hope it wasn't a hate-crime, but as the article mentions
"Rhodes was wearing a jogging suit and displayed no purse or jewelry, Elliott speculated that "this does not appear to me to be a standard grab the money and run mugging."

She was also walking her dog who is bound to bark if their owner is attacked.

The level of injury and apparent lack of motive does indicated a punishment beating ...

She's back on the air right now. I'm listening but so far she's not mentioned the incident - seems like business as usual and her voice is crystal clear so probably no missing teeth either.

I'll update if she discusses the incident on today's show.

OK, apparently she's not back. It's a repeat of a previous show they've put on. D'oh.

The silence on the incident is worrying ...

Are they rife any more? I thought good old giuliani and his zero tolerance policy made New York safer than most cities. As far as I know they have a lower mugging rate than Baghdad now.

Randi is finally back for real - this is her explaining the situation in her own words.

thanks for that Kate - it sounds like she was blindsided by someone with a right-hook.

That would definitely explain the injury to the eye and the teeth knocked out. You don't get this type of injury from a simple fall or black-out.
